Artistic Proposal
Barfuss Kollektiv's artistic vision centers on the dissemination and experience of Son Jarocho as a living, constantly evolving musical tradition that integrates music, song, footwork, and community gathering.
The collective performs traditional Son Jarocho repertoire, incorporating practices inspired by the fandango, a central space for conviviality and collective creation within this tradition. Beyond musical performance, the project seeks to generate participatory experiences where the audience is not merely a spectator, but an active participant in the event.
Barfuss Kollektiv places special emphasis on:
- Cultural exchange between Latin America and Europe.
- Audience participation through singing, rhythm, and footwork.
- The creation of spaces for community gathering.
- Cultural and educational mediation as tools for engaging with the tradition.
Each performance is adapted to the context and space, always maintaining the collective spirit of Son Jarocho and promoting intercultural dialogue, mutual listening, and the shared enjoyment of the music.
