Barfuss Kollektiv is a music collective based in Switzerland, founded in 2018 out of a shared passion for music and the belief that friendship, collectivity and mutual learning are essential foundations of artistic practice.

The project is deeply rooted in Son Jarocho, a musical tradition from the Sotavento region of Veracruz, Mexico, characterized by community gathering, oral transmission and active participation. Over the years, the collective has been nourished by many teachers and musical communities who have shared their knowledge and experience.

From Europe, Barfuss Kollektiv adapts this living tradition to a new context, fostering intercultural exchange and creating spaces for encounter through music.
